I want to buy a low powered video card for my old PC. It has a PCI Express Version 1.1 slot. Most of the video cards for sale are PCI Express Version 2 or 3. Does that mean they are incompatible with my motherboard ?

While it is not possible to guarantee compatibility between your PCIe 1.1 motherboard & a later spec PCIe card, it should work. I have PCIe 3 AMD cards (Sapphire HD7770's) running on both PCIe 1.0 & 1.1 motherboards (& also a PCIe 2.1 card running on a 1.1 motherboard).

Thank you so much, I should be fine. If not I'll just sell it at a small loss. I'm gonna order it right now, LOL.
