Hi,

I managed to remove all but 1 component of SpywareQuake. After scanning my PC machine at Symantec, it appears that my machine is still infected with the following file:

C:\RECYCLER\S-1-5-21-2774891647-1623871471-1948097192-1006\Dc73.exe is infected with SpywareQuake

Please can someone tell me how to remove this? Tks

Hello qwerty156

Did you follow the complete instructions posted in the self-help tutorial How to remove SpywareQuake and SpyQuake2.com?

If so, please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
This program is for XP and Windows 2000 onlyDouble-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main "Select Files to Delete" choose: Select All.
Click the Empty Selected button.
If you use Firefox browserClick Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
If you use Opera browserClick Opera at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Then perform the Panda ActiveScan as instructed in that tutorial.
[Watch the Address bar in IE. You may receive alerts that "This site might require the following ActiveX control...Click here to install...". Click on that alert and then Click Install ActiveX component.]

Post back if that does not resolve the problem.
