Hello Kev35 :)!

Hi, having trouble with my computer put in a sd card and an error said directory not vaild so after some looking online it said to run sfc so did that but it did not fix   some  errors. Upgraded from Win7 my computer is custom built

Although SFC errors can cause issues with hardware, it is highly unlikely. Before we fix SFC issues, we must fix driver issues.

Screenshot of Device Manager

Press WindowsX

Click on Device Manager

Now, press WindowsR

Type snippingtool and press enter

In Snipping Tool, click the triangle beside New

Click on Window Screenshot

Now, click on Device Manager

You should see a screenshot of Device Manager

Save it, and attach it in your next post

Error You aren't permitted to upload this kind of file. That is the error it gave me, could I be doing something wrong?

Upload the picture at Photobucket, and use the

This should work

It suggests that there is no issues with drivers.

Can you use another SD card that you know that works (tried on another computer and works), and tell me if it properly works on this computer or not?

Yes the other SD card works, by the way the one that does not work is a SDHC card the other is just SD

SD readers can not read SDHC cards, but SDHC readers can use both SD cards and SDHC.

SO, did SDHC cards worked in Windows 7?

(Yes, I know the questions are not helping, but it will help us get to the root of the problem)

Yes. You can buy USB SDHC readers, and although its been quite a while since I looked at the prices, but it should be cheap to buy.
