I downloaded a ringtone on my Samsung Galaxy S2 a few years ago. One of the few that is loud enough and continues to ring for about 30 seconds.

I transferred it to my SG 5 and set it as the Calendar notification ringtone. On this new phone, it only rings for about one second. I don't see any settings to change that. Is there a way I can get this to ring for a longer period of time - the way it usually does?

How did that happen ? how long did your new phone's default ringtone ring ? If much longer than 1 second, that'll be problem with your ringtone file. The new phone may not support or read the audio file you used on S2.

I also set this as the ringtone for the phone - which works great. I REALLY would like to get this working for the calendar notifications. It's extremely important to me. What actually sounds when the calendar notifications come up is not this tone; but I quadruple checked that what is supposed to alert me to this is indeed the ringtone that I want.
