Hey guys thanks for reading this. I have a mouse problem with a gateway laptop. The problem is this: when ever i am at my log in screen(Window 7 Currently) my mouse goes insane and i cant click any thing because it keeps moving(i can hit enter and then when im in the mouse settles down to normal). i have uninstalled the drivers for the touchpad device and disabled it. but the problem persists. i also have an external mouse i thought would be worth trying and i get the same result no matter what mouse i use. if i try to run a live boot of ubuntu it never stops and i cannot make useful function of the new OS. again with either mouse. any ideas? this is a real stumper for me. i have back tracked the driver with no luck, updated with no luck. the only thing that seemed to stop it was the non passworded login screen on windows 7 which i dont wish to use. any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Something is or some things are running in the background which clash with the mouse operatgions, even before you log in.  Download and run MiniToolBox, know where the log is saved, be ready to give the regular BC tech the part of the log s/he wants.  I'm only a customer here.

The Snapshot is a totally different item from MiniToolBox.  Please...read the instructions.

IMO...your Windows problems stem from the fact that this laptop was built for Win 8...and someone has installed a copy of Win 7 Ultimate.  I have no explanation that I can make for your problems with Ubuntu.

Not a problem :), thanks.

The majority of your errors seem to impact your AV and connectivity/Windows Update...the other errors seem to indicate a systerm with possible file damage.

Moving topic to Am I Infected for a malware check.
