I still cAN NOT get on line tryed, Adim. command prompt: ntsh interface ip set dns "Local Area Connection" dhcp. But I get this message The file mame, directory name, or volume syntax is invalid.

A while back I got a message about " invalid IP " .

 

I used Troubleshooting in Control Panel & got it fixed.

I have tryed trobleshooting and resetting modem sill getting message mentioned above HELP! THANKS

Let's release and renew your IP address.
 
Press the Windows key windowskey_zps092d5c75.png and the X key together.
 
In the menu that opens, select Command Prompt (Admin)
 
Copy the two commands below one at a time followed by pressing Enter
 
ipconfig /release
 
ipconfig /renew
