As of recently, computer no longer will connect to printer to print, either via USB or wireless. Wondering if I have some sort of malware.

Without any other problems/symptoms malware would be unlikely.

Possibly an updated driver ?

Go to device manager, click on the > at the beginning of the word 'printers'....then right click on the printer you are using and select uninstall.

Reboot the computer.

Press the Windows key windowskey_zps092d5c75.png and the X key together.

In the menu that opens select Control Panel.

In the Control Panel select Devices and Printers.

Right click on your printer and select Troubleshoot.

================

Your printer should have come with a CD containing the drivers for it.  Uninstall the drivers, then use the disc to reinstall the drivers.  Windows 8.1 may or may not have a native driver which would work for this printer.  For this reason I would not count on Windows providing the needed driver.

Have removed and reinstalled the print driver multiple times with no success. Will get one print after initial driver install, then subsequent print requests generate error message that computer cannot communicate with printer even though no settings have been changed.

You get the "cannot connect" message even when connected via USB?

Do you have the CD that came with the printer for the drivers?

No, was using the drivers from the Kodak site. Also, can't seem to connect to public wi-fi anymore.
