Ever since I installed SP2 WMA sound files say they are playing but no sound comes out of the speakers. A few games now also do not have sound, but some do.

I installed K-Lite Codec pack about the same time as SP2, but I have already tried uninstalling this and it did not help. I have already tried reinstalling sound drivers.

Help please.

WHat you are going to have to do is find the program that has the sound tied up. I use recorders and have to be careful which one's ahve the option for certain items like line-in are selected or I loose my sound in other programs. What you have to do is open these programs and go into options and check the settings.

It may just be windows media player 10, because windows media player classic works. However, in one of my games their is no sound also.
