I want to get a laptop

Acer Aspire AS5672WLMi NoteBook Intel Core Duo T2300(1.66GHz) 15.4" Wide XGA 1GB DDR2 533 120GB 5400rpm DVD Super Multi ATI Mobility Radeon X1600

If you look it has an Intel Core Duo processor at 1.66 GHz

Should I wait for the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, or just get it as is now?

I look foward to your thoughts.

Thanks,

MagMan

I always reckon that if you CAN wait, you may as well. Usually the first version of ANYTHING is full of problems (think cars, motorbikes, kids.. ), so if you don't need it right now I would wait.

Could you take a good guess as to when they will make the computer with the Core 2 Duo?

If/When they do, how will I know and will the computer have a different model number?

The first Merom, the mobile version of Core 2 Duo, equipped notebooks are supposed to be launched somewhere around August/September. The Core 2 Duo that is coming out now in July is the desktop version.
