Been running windows 10 for a few weeks now. Edge was running good in the beginning but now it has an issue. I can no longer hover over the address bar and see my top 5 web sites to pick from, I have to type in the address I want and then it brings up some suggestions. I ran a sfc /scannow and got some errors that could not be fix which I will copy and past just the unfixable errors.Is ther a way to fix this without a reinstall. I know I can use another browser but I would like to fix the error before more issues arise.

2 things to try:

- re-register Edge in the Windows Store

- uninstall/reinstall Edge

Run the following command in a Powershell window that's run as an Administrator in order to re-register the Windows Store apps:

Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
From this article:  http://www.thewindowsclub.com/re-register-windows-store-apps
Be sure that Edge is closed (in Task Manager).  Cortana will spit an error as it's still running - don't worry about that for now.

Uninstall/Reinstall Edge:

Well to reset Edge I have found deleting

Clears it, including favourites and all.

That does break Edge for the user. To get it running again from an admin PowerShell prompt;

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml" -Verbose}

My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.
