Hello guys,

System: Windows 7 Service Pack 1

Real-time AV: Avast free and MSE

7 weeks ago, Avast started warning me about some blocked threats, and it keeps dinging ever since "threat has been detected".

This usually happens when I start Windows or spontaneously. (Sometimes while I'm away from my computer with no browsers or programs open!)

I scanned my device with Avast, MSE, MBAM and Emsisoft emergency kit, all scans were clean.

Am I infected? Is it a "Microsoft certificate revocation list" problem?

Infection: HTMl:RedirME-inf[Trj]

Process: C:\Windows\System32\svchost.exe

Objects are:

hxxp://crl.microsoft.com/pki/crl/products/MicWinHarComPCA_2008-01-08.crl

Hi,

Welcome here at BleepingComputer.com. I am Black_Bird and I'll be helping you with your questions & problems.

All of your logfiles seem clean to me. You are not infected. I think you are right about what the problem might be (the certificate problem). This is probably just a false positive by Avast. You can report it as such (in your report, you can eventually include a link to this topic).

Have you got any other questions? :)

Kind regards,
Black_Bird
