You can either use the command line shown here.

Or use a utility like Karens Directory Printer

Under the file and folder info tabs only check file name and size. If you do not want to print files in sub-folders then uncheck that option. You can also check to have only file info or folder info printed.

Edit: If Karens Directory Printer does not meet your needs you can check out these other free file printers.

See if this works for you.

Type CMD in the search box > Right click Run As Administrator

Type the following and enter after each command

cd X:\      Where X is the letter of your flash drive
dir > print.txt

This will put a print.txt file on your flash drive with all files and directories shown.  If you want the contents of subfolders then type

dir /s > print.txt

Just  tried  Karen and all I get now is 8 lines of print and then tried the C M D  thingy and all I get is file not found dang it .

Will just have to fiddle a lot with Karen till I luck in and get the right box s / columns checked dang it .

And tried Arclab and Dirl and Directory no sign of print now and drive F  so guess I fiddle with the Karen software a lot

till I find a nice simple one to use . . .

I may have given the wrong command. This is assuming you are using Windows 7. At the elevated command prompt you should see this command prompt when the command window appears

C:\windows\system32

Then type: the following and press enter after each command.

F:      Your prompt should now show F:\

Now type

dir > print.txt   <enter>

You should now have a print.txt file on your flash drive. Double click it and see if this is the output you want.

After you did the dir > print.txt command there is no print.txt on your flash drive? I just did the command on my computer and it created the print.txt file fine.
