Is My Pc Dead? Please Help

When i turn on my pc, the LEDS glow but the monitor remains blank.There is no output.I cant even access BIOS.

this problem started when i connected my fren's SATA hdd to my system in Master mode when i already had SATA HDD on my system.

WHAT could be the poblem?please help...

512 MB RAM

Does the motherboard you are using have an on-board video adapter?

If it does, try physically removing the agp or pci video card and connecting the monitor to the onboard video output and see if you get anything showing on the monitor on bootup.

If that doesn't work, try MSI support's troubleshooting guide:

It does sound like a possible video card problem. I would try disconnecting all the drives and just have the monitor connected to the video card and see if you get anything display as it boots. And listen for any beep codes. Also be sure you didn't bump the video card when you installed the Sata drive. I would take out the video card and reinstall it.
