Hello there,i just want to share what happen to my lappy..My Os is Win 10 pro licenced.everything was fine and running good..but suddenly my lappy became so slow to boot..it takes 3 - 5 minutes to appear the windows logo.. currently I'm disk checking using chkdsk/r with admin command prompt...
please solve my problem.
I'm using Lenovo z460, 4gb ram,500gb hard disk.
I checked with each 2gb ram separately, but of no use. I removed hard disk but same booting time, replaced with new one,no use . Tried to remove cmos battery but it soldered between two metal wires. unable to remove.

G'day santosh408, and Welcome to BC.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-au/windows-10/windows-10-recovery-options

Reset your PC

Resetting lets you choose whether to keep your files or remove them, and then reinstalls Windows. To get started, go to Settings > Update & security > Reset this PC > Get started and choose an option.

Option What it does

Keep my files

  • Reinstalls Windows 10 and keeps your personal files.

  • Removes apps and drivers you installed.

  • Removes changes you made to settings.

  • Removes any apps your PC manufacturer installed. (If your PC came with Windows 10, apps from your PC manufacturer will be reinstalled.)

Remove everything

  • Reinstalls Windows 10 and removes all your personal files.

  • Removes apps and drivers you installed.

  • Removes changes you made to settings.

  • Removes any apps your PC manufacturer installed. (If your PC came with Windows 10, apps from your PC manufacturer will be reinstalled.)

If you're planning to donate, recycle, or sell your PC, use this option and choose to fully clean the drive. This might take an hour or two, but it makes it harder for other people to recover files you've removed.

Open the Start Menu and type "power options" and select Power Options when it appears. When the Power Options window opens, select "Choose what the power button does" from the list on the left of the window.

If you see a small blue and yellow shield icon and the text "Change settings that are currently unavailable", click the text. You may need to enter your password or your PC administrator's password to do this. Now scroll down to the Shut-down settings list. Untick "Turn on fast start-up" and click Save changes. When you next switch on your PC you should immediately see a significant boot time cut.

If the last suggestion did not make any difference......try this...

Right-click on the Start Menu icon and click on Device Manager.

4_windows_10_device_manager_right_click_

Click on Display Adapters and identify your dedicated graphics card. It'll be labelled Nvidia, AMD Radeon or ATi Radeon. Right-click on the graphics card and click "disable". This may cause your screen to go blank for a moment. Shut down your PC (not restart) and turn it on again to see if this has fixed the problem.

I know this may be somewhat contradictory.....but I had the same problem with my windows 10 ......and I followed the instruction which I passed on to you in post # 6

I did not notice much difference.

However, I then went to the same spot.....and put the tick back in the box...("Turn on fast start-up" and click Save changes)........and now, my boot up time is really good.

Give it a try. You have nothing to lose.
