I'm currently running Windows Vista with the following specs

Intel Core 2 Quad CPUT Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz

Memory: 4.00 GB

System Type: 64 Bit Operating System

My Problem has been going on for awhile only thing I downloaded recently was to update my police scanner to latest firmware. When I leave my computer for more than 5 minutes sometimes when I'm on the computer Google Chrome locks up and it says "Computer Not Responding" It takes about 5 minutes before I can start using it again.

I have done Virus check with Norton and nothing.

Uninstall Chrome

restart the pc

Re-install Chrome but enable only plugins/addons that you really need!

I tired re-installing and it did nothing. It seems to be ok now. I know when Fire Fox is open it tends to crash.

But then you wrote:

It seems to be ok now.

Sorry, but it seems that your pc has a problem or could be infected with malware which is going to take some more work and a deeper look. No sense running a bunch of tools here.
Please follow this Preparation Guide. If have already done a step or you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.
Pease include a link to this thread.

Let me know if all went well.
