OpenCandy is a 3rd party offer module that runs when you install the primary application. It is not in itself bad, but can install some really nasty things if you are not careful when using the installer. Make sure you check or uncheck any relevant boxes that are offering you 3rd party software, and make sure you look under any "Advanced" options during installation for similar hidden installs.

I would also recommend loading the file to

www.virustotal.com

for a more comprehensive scan.

Hi bleeperizer. I uploaded it to VirusTotal but I get the same thing. And it asks to install a rouge and I don't need another virus on my PC. I would appreciate it if I knew it was safe so I need some advice, should I shred it or run it?

Thank you

TsVk! actually already answered your question. The installer is not infected, however, if you are not careful you could install potentially unwanted programs using it.

My advice is to revisit the CheatEngine download page and download the version of the installer that does not bundle the OpenCandy installer. You'll want to look for the following quoted text.

For those that want to have Cheat engine without automated installer and Open Candy recommendation during installation, click here.
