My action centre says that I need to turn on windows security centre service but when I click on it it just sits there with a little clock on it and doesn't turn on.

Lemmie see, Windows Security Center in the Run box gave me Action Center.  Entering services in Run box gave me a long list, Security Center was listed and set to Automatic.  If you can get to Services -- find Security Center, set it to Automatic.

I can get there, but there is no Security Center listed in Services.

I'm using Windows 7 Professional, apparently your version must have it listed another way.

I am using windows 7 professional as well and every place that I have read said the same thing that you did. Go to services and turn it to automatic but how do I even get it into services? I even replaced the registry as suggested by Microsoft and followed their instructions, that didn't work either. Hopefully someone out there will know what it is?
