Last line is

And then the pc will shut down after that. How will I fix it?

I'm wondering if more than one HD's first partition has been flagged as primary and active; what does diskmanager show?  And, my security software won't let me see the jpg - hence my question about primary and active flags.

Start  -->  Run box -->  diskmgmt <enter> will bring up the diskmanager utility.

It's been a while since I worked with IDE disks - but I'd suspect that the 3rd Master is the 3rd hard drive in your system.

When the screen comes up - press del to enter setup.

Somewhere in the setup (usually along the bottom of the screen - or at the last entry in the menu) will be an option to revert to failsafe or original/optimium/etc settings.

Select that, and then select the option to save when exiting.

This may/may not work - depending on what the problem is with the system.

After this, we're just guessing, but if the 1st or 2nd Master hard drive (depending on what the boot order is) has died, then you'll get this sort of error.

We'll need to know:

1)  How many hard drives are in your system (open the side of the case and count them)

2)  What the screen that shows the 3rd Master says about other drives (we're looking to see if any are missing, and if they are missing, which one it is that's missing)

No need to take anything apart at this stage - so if you can't read a label on the hard drives, don't worry at this point.
