We have an asus p6x58d premium mainbaord with 8G of ram showing, running windows 7 pro x64. I recently installed adobe acrobat 6. I then tried to reinstall word 97 as I was getting error messages. I was unable to complete the word installation, but it seemed to install anyway but still brings up error messages before starting which would seem to indicate a problem with acrobat. ("Compile error in hidden module autoexec").

In trying to fix the error I found this in Users\(user)\AppData\Local

Wondering what to do about this?

Thanks.

I scanned the c:\ drive with bitdefender and it found 9 infections.

Also, when the computer booted, it brought up a file on Notepad called "desktop.ini" that said:

[.ShellClassInfo]

LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21787
