No errors reflected for networking directly...email backup errors may indirectly indicate connectivity problem of some sort.

I would uninstall the Arcsoft software...run without it for a day or so...then reinstall it anew.

Install of Win 7 Starter goes back 2 months...possible that system does not support Win 7 drivers.  System is netbook.

Ok thank you Hamluis:

I would uninstall the Arcsoft software...run without it for a day or so...then reinstall it anew.

...I see what you mean.  The machine actually had the same problem prior to the Arcsoft software.  I will uninstall it anyway, just telling you this to give you as much info as possible so as to move toward the solution.

Install of Win 7 Starter goes back 2 months...possible that system does not support Win 7 drivers.  System is netbook.

...Two months ago was a factory restore which I do here and there.  The wifi connection was working prior, and after this.

Since I'm unable to generate the Speccy Report you requested due to not being able to be online, is there a way to run Speccy from a usb and use one of the other reports its capable of generating in order to paste here what you need?  Or are you implying you don't need it now perhaps?

Thank you for your help much appreciated, Michael

I'm not implying anything :).

There are 3 main tools I use to try to assist those with computer problems:  MTB, Speccy, and Google.  I use all 3 because I don't consider just 1 or 2 of them to provide me with enough data to be semi-intelligent in trying to explain what might be going on on a system I have never seen and cannot manually manipulate.

Without pertinent data...I could be as far from the mark...as I could be...or I could make lucky guesses.  I prefer not to guess with the system of another member, I don't mind doing such with my own because I have the latitude to manipulate, correct, and negate bad guesses on my systems.

The Speccy Snapshot would provide, among other detail, pertinent data re various hardware components and connectivity.  I would think such would be essential to anyone desiring to try to assist you in determining whether you have a hardware problem or a networking issue of any kind.

Louis

Yes, that's excellent thank you.  I agree.  But what's a solution to post the Speccy details?
