Hello, I've just joined and look forward to learning a lot! :)

Is there somewhere different I should be asking this question?

I'm not sure if I have got rid of suspected malware from my computer and would like someone to check please.

I don't know the correct terminology. Is it "computer log".

And what program do you guys use to get these details? Years ago I used "Hijack This" that someone helped me with on a forum that just happened to have one expert that helped out.

I have Windows 7 and a laptop with mobile broadband. I've deleted things and cleaned up computer but not sure.

I did get programs installing themselves; which I uninstalled twice.

Thanks,

Julia

The regualers often mention two tools to generate a computer log:  MiniTool Box and Speccy.  Download from BC's Downloads, after installing, run them and remember where the log files they generate are located.  The regulars will give specific details as to what and how to post parts of those logs.

Thanks Roland. I'll wait and see what one they suggest for my problem. I'm in Australia and it's 4.30am! I've spent hours on this. Be back later

Hello Julia Z

What tool did you run that you have a log to show.

Or just post that log,,  just not if it is HJT , ComboFix or FRST
