Prior to the installation of Windows 10, I happily ran Cyberghost (Free Version) under Windows 7. Since the 'upgrade' this program has just not worked. It will not connect with remote servers no matter how long I leave it. Although this is probably the wrong approach to this problem I uninstalled it and then tried to reinstall it.
Big mistake as the program simply will not load. The installation program just hangs halfway through. I believe that the problem is down to TAP device drivers, but how to access and fix is beyond me. (Plus I don't want to make a minor irritation a critical one.) Anyone have any ideas as to a simple(ish) workaround?

Regards

Try to (re)install and run the program as Administrator...

Thanks O.T.T., However this did not work. I got the following message "Error Occured Installing the TAP driver", which is the same message I got previously.

Thanks again for your suggestion.

Strange... just installed CyberGhost in a (virtual) Windows 10 without a problem.

Please download the installer again : CyberGhost

Install as Administrator.

When the installer asks for the installation of the Virtual Adapter (TAP driver), check "Always trust..." and "Install".

If this doesn't work I got 3 questions for you:

1. Do you have other VPN software installed on your system?

2. Do you have .NET-Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) installed?

You can find this in "Turn Windows features on or of", use the search function if you don't find it.

3. Can you give me a screenshot (or list) with the network adapters installed on your system?

You can find them in "Network Connections", use the search function if you don't find it.
