I have been out of the computerbuilding and repair game for many years is Belarc advisor still a good program to use to find out what is what in a computer? I read a number of posts but haven't seen it mentioned yet.

We mostly use Speccy here at BC, if you're curious about how to use it and what to post if you need guidance, here is a post on the forums about it.

UPDATE:  Your title to the post is a bit misleading, are you trying to create a thumb drive of all the software on the PC or get a listing of all the hardware inside that PC for building or upgrading your PC?
