I am thinking of making a new website, and was wondering what you would recomend if I were to do this completely FREE!

Where to host? Short URL (can I get .org free?????) needed. Notepad for editor?

Notepad is good.

Learn to take screenshots & add them to your posts. :thumbup2:

Learn to use Google Search.  :busy:

Make full system images to restore to if your computer goes bonkers.

I am not 100% sure I understand your question...are you looking for free hosting? And a free domain name?

Well, since parents dont want to let me use credit card, and a little uncertain myself that I might accidently sign up for it and get charged after Beta ends, I think I'll stick with Biz.ly.

This way I can make a website about anything I want for completely free!

Host - Biz.ly
Domain- "what ever I choose".biz.ly
Editor - Notepad / WYSIWYG freeware

Sounds good to me!

Now what to make it about.....

true that
make it about something you dont like, you may actually learn something new, cause when a website has .biz.ly, or .150m.com, etc, its prettuy much for you and your friends

make it about something you dont like,

Hmm im not sure I agree with that. If you dont like it, you wont want to write or share information about it.

My opinion, make it about something you are passionate about. That way you will enjoy creating it.

Also feel free to post a link to it for a review if you want.

hmm I was reading the freq. asked questions for the free version of Windows live, about the whole credit card thing and it says your credit card wont be charged, and I have a Simon giftcard registered to my name and address, you think I could get away with using that?

No, because credit card numbers are comprised of a checksum that is unique to a particular brand of credit card. One of the basic checks to verify that a number is valid is if the checksum fits with the number on the card. Otherwise, what is to keep people form just entering random numbers?

Well lets take a vote!

Do you want to see a website about:
  • Dogs
  • Basketball
  • Chewing Gum
  • Wolves
Just add a reply with the number of your favorite, and I will use the results to help me make a decision! :flowers:

Thanks :trumpet:
