The Nvidea GeForce MX is a graphics adapter. You having a sound problem or a graphics problem?

Look in your device manager and see if there is a yellow or red warning marks in any category. If so, delete whatever has a warning mark, reboot and let Windows reinstall it.

You can access the device manager by going to your control panel, clicking on "System", then click the "Hardware" tab, click the "Device Manager" button.

Open all the trees to see if there are any red or yellow icons displayed.

As far as boosting your computer's speed, tell us a little about your computer - what kind and size processor, the name brand or motherboard, how much ram, what size is your page file set to, how much room do you have left on your hard drive, and when was the last time you cleaned your temp files and defragged?
