Early versions of Windows 10 have a problem that prevents Power Up I Standby... so, it works for a while but when you go get a cup of coffee... and your machine goes into standby... Win10 does not SPIN the HD and therefore, it believes that there IS NO hard drive... and says so repeatedly. (it cannot reboot)

SO:

is there a way to boot to another drive (by-pass Win10)

get the HD to spin,

reinstall a "fixed" version of Win10

(why oh why did I install to begin with?!) and then

get back to using my computer?
