Hello there,
I really need help on this one. When I switched on my laptop ( Hp windows 7) , it started as usual and it screened the message " starting windows" as usual , after starting I was expecting the log on screen to come. But there it was, just a black screen while the standard windows tune was heard, there was NO log on screen. It was just black.
Then I went into safe mode with networking. And that's all how it works now.
Please I would be really greatful if you could help me out.

So basically the laptop is functioning all fine in safe mode but wouldn't go further the " starting windows" message in normal mode.
Please Please help

Try a clean boot:  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135

if that works, then enable half of the stuff that you disabled and try it again.

Keep doing it by halves until you've nailed down the entry that's causing it.

Then uninstall that item and see if it boots normally.
