· OS - Windows 8.1, 8, 7, Vista ? Windows 7
· x86 (32-bit) or x64 ? 64
· What was original installed OS on system? Windows 7
· Is the OS an OEM version (came pre-installed on system) or full retail version (YOU purchased it from retailer)?OEM
· Age of system (hardware) I have no clue
· Age of OS installation - have you re-installed the OS? No idea, no.

· CPU-Intel®Core™ i3 CPU
· Video Card-

· System Manufacturer-HP
· Exact model number (if laptop, check label on bottom)-dv5-2045dx

· Laptop or Desktop? laptop

Basically it started randomly. I rebooted my laptop after a freeze, and then it took forever for anything to run. After that I noticed whenever I idled for any length of time .exes, or frankly anything wouldn't run for a certain period of time. Sometimes it will crash and give me a BSOD "pfn-list corrupt".

Only 125 Windows Updates installed.  Most systems have 300 or more.  Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

It's hard to tell if this is a hardware or software issue at this point.

Please go to the HP support website and download/install the latest Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) drivers for your OS and system.

If that doesn't stop the BSOD's, then start with these free hardware diagnostics:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

While you're at the HP site, update the other drivers for your system

In particular, your HP Quick Web driver dates from 2009

I feel this would help as I haven't had a chance to do anything. Are the drivers you posted below the ones I should go ahead and update? I'm also having issues with svchost.exe sometimes it will go up to 1.2million...and when updating windows it hangs and wont update. THis is getting pretty frustrating, I can't install the  intel drivers. My issue is that it gives me an error syaing I need MS framework 4.5. I'm confused, lost and frustrated.

The drivers listed are all the 3rd party drivers that were present in those memory dump(s) and are in dated order (from oldest down to newest).

This memory dump is similar to the last one.  It's also a STOP 0x4E (PFN List Corrupt)

First, try the diagnostics that I suggested:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

If there's a hardware problem then that needs to be fixed before we address any software/driver problems.

One of the first diagnostics is a malware scan.  If infected, post over in the Am I Infected forum:  http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/103/am-i-infected-what-do-i-do/
Please read the pinned topics at the top of the forum for instructions on how to post there.

If you still can't install the Intel RST, try a clean boot:  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929135

No it's directly from the intel site.

I've been having issues. I tried installing my outdated drivers but, the system hanged and then it crashed forcing me to restore. Then I received a new BSOD stating hardware malfunction.

There is an IRST driver specifically for your HP laptop model here for Windows 7 under Driver-Storage.

I installed the Intel RST driver and rebooted but I'm still having issues. It took me 5 minutes for everything to be normal after the reboot, and im still having issues with random freezes.

Would you like to refer your topic first in the Am I Infected? Just in case any malware or rootkit is present, this will have to be dealt with before proceeding.

My laptop is clean. No malware/viruses at all. I'm still having issues with .exes not running at random times, and sometimes freezing but, no more BSODs since I installed the IRST driver.

Let's try this :

Startup Repair for Windows 7 then run System File Checker (sfc /scannow). If there are unrepaired files reported, please browse the tutorial link below and post the results next time.

Try downloading Speccy and then install the program.  To post and publish a snapshot of your PC.
. In the Menu bar, click File -> Publish Snapshot
. Click Yes > then Copy to Clipboard
. On your next reply, right-click on a empty space and click Paste on reply box then click Post.

Another issue that may help: whenever I do a reboot, or login I wont get a windows welcome sound, and nothing runs. Then maybe a few minutes after I get that windows welcome sound and all exes can run again.

It seems your hard drive is the culprit, from speccy report SMART attributes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S.M.A.R.T.

C4
Attribute name:
Reallocation Event Count
Real value: 297
Current: 100
Worst: 100
Threshold: 0
Raw Value: 0000000129
Status: Good

C5
Attribute name:
Current Pending Sector Count
Real value: 531
Current: 100
Worst: 100
Threshold: 0
Raw Value: 0000000213

Backup your files immediately, create your recovery and repair disc (if available also) then replace your hard drive.

Is that even possible on a laptop? I may need to just take this in to a repair shop. How much would it cost?
