Hello Sorry about grammar and spelling i have spell checked it all but not to sure if its all good :)

(all of these are paid antivirus not free)

I have tried Bitdefender total security and kaspersky total security and Avira pro 2015
all 3 of them are on the top in AV tests this year,

With Avira pro 2015 i found it so hard to manage and it damages my pc when trying remove something or replacing something, the UI is really old looking and clunky so i thought i would leave it as it was not nice to use,

i went to Kaspersky total security because of how popular it is, but it non stop was bleeping at me telling me there was viruses/malware and everything on my pc, when i have scanned my pc before with MWB and avira they said it was all OK all clean, it was all so removing software that i bought that was legit and safe saying it was malicious so i straight away uninsulated it.

then i when to the 3rd top AV on AV tests, Bitdefender total security i found it very simple, made me worry a bit, but playing around it with the settings it seemed to be fine to i tried going on a virus website to test it out and it worked stopped it the page and the virus, but its so silent about it it all so was not pulling my pc down.

all 3 of these had a score of about 97% detection rate on AV test but Kaspersky had a lot of false detections witch i experienced
what do you guys think? why is Kaspersky so popular, I all so looked at ESET because of popularity, but it was very low on the test results this year even this month.

i did CCleaner in between each uninstall to make sure nothing was left behind to mess with the next AV i was trying and testing out.

i found Bitdefender one of the better ones out of them all even thought they all have pretty much the same results.
Is Bitdefender NEW? is that why not much people talking about it?

Thank you, if i am getting this all wrong (which i think i am) please correct me its why im asking about it because it puzzles me need your help and support and advise and opinions because it would be so much help

I use Windows 10 and i make sure all the AVs are up to date and are the right ones

With all Love from smurf

There are several reputable labs which test the effectiveness of major anti-virus programs and security suites to include AV-Comparatives.org, Virus Bulletin Comparative Tests, AV-Test.org, NSS Labs Consumer Anti-Malware Products Group Test Report, etc.

These kinds of comparative testing results will vary depending on a variety of factors to include but not limited to who conducted the testing, what they were testing for (type of threats, attack vectors, exploits), what versions of anti-virus software was tested, what type of scanning engine was used, and the ability to clean or repair. There are no universally predefined set of standards or criteria for testing which means each test will yield different results. As such, you need to look for detailed information about how the tests were conducted, the procedures used, and data results.

With that said, there is nothing wrong with Bitdefender some of our members use it. Others prefer ESET, Kaspersky or Emsisoft Anti-Malware...they leave a small footprint...meaning they are not intrusive and do not utilize a lot of system resources.

Choosing an anti-virus is a matter of personal preference, your needs,, your technical ability and experience, features offered, user friendliness, ease of updating (and upgrading to new program release), ease of installation/removal, availability of quality/prompt technical support from the vendor and price. Other factors to consider include detection rates and methods, scanning engine effectiveness, how often virus definitions are updated, the amount of resources the program utilizes, how it may affect system performance and what will work best for your system. A particular anti-virus that works well for one person may not work as well for another. You may need to experiment and find the one most suitable for your needs. Please read:

Thank you for the help I have released that bitdefender really does not put any stress on my pc one bit, if i could  find a way to stop Kaspersky going all panic mode i would use that, avira on all 3 testing websites came out on top but i just found it so ermmm you have to play around with it a lot and stuff like that

i particularly only try out the top 3 or 4 in all website tests and these are the 3 that are mostly in the top 3 on av tests recently on all 3 websites

i guess its what i prefer to use because there is very small difference between them its just witch one you find easer and prefer
