I downloaded a PS2 Emulator and all the bios I needed, but when I configured it, it said something like the OS isn't updated. So does this mean I have to download Windows 8 or 10? What if I don't want to? (Windows 8 made my laptop slower)

Any help? Thanks!

Emulator should not require you update/upgrade Windows. What PS2 emulator is it?

Yea, you have to download the Sony BIOS ROM separately.

(I think I dropped something...) 20MB in size.

This may tell us why you have an issue.

Note:  Using a torrent/magnet link is not nessarily an item to be concerned about...other than from the perspective that members clicking on such do so at their own risk.

Such links can be routinely used for ordinary computer functions (e.g., downloading linux or other non-malware-related files)...as well as being used for various malware items.  It is the intent and content of the link...that determines whether such poses a security threat to a computer-user or not.

Of course...anyone clicking on such link...does so at her/his own risk...same as all other activity conducted on the Internet.

Does a PS2 BIOS ROM not fall under piracy?

If you think that's an issue, please state that in the next report you make concerning such...then, someone can then determine what it is that you are reporting and why you think it should be reported.

I've never seen any topic refer to a BIOS as being illegally disseminated...but, then again, I don't game and had never thought about a "PS2 BIOS ROM" until you mentioned it iabout 1.5 hours ago in your post here.

Report it and we can find out.

Downloading the BIOS files to get the PS2 emulator to work is not legal.
