I am British and proud of it, so you may well understand my frustration at not being able find a tablet and keyboard on which there is a £ key.

Does anyone know of a tablet and keyboard that has a £ key on it?

Have you looked on computer sites specific for England or Ireland?  Amazon.uk for example?

Yes, more on Amazon UK than anywhere else. Unfortunately most do not even want to show a good picture of the keyboard and none of the reviewers mention anything about missing keys. A Google search of the problem comes up with nothing either.

Here's one that has the British pound sign:

Don't know if that's the kind of keyboard you want.

I think all these have the symbol you're looking for:

@1up2down...

My first thought is for you to use ebay uk...you can find most everything you'd wish there!

Right, now let's narrow down what you are after (besides a £ key)

~A tablet..any particular specifications (i.e. size, OS, applications..wireless capability with bluetooth etc.)

~Or, a keyboard..to use usb or wireless/bluetooth with any device (i.e. tablet, laptop, desktop, smart device)

I'm sure you get my thinking!

In any event, just for fun..take a look at this item:

I have a couple of pals in the UK..and they use ebay for everything!!!

@1up2down £ key

If you are not able to find a tablet or Surface Pro with a UK keyboard,

Follow these steps, with a United States keyboard to switch to a UK keyboard.

(These steps are specific to you using the £ key, I do not know what else you would use for UK typing!)

Tick: Control panel

Tick: Clock, Language and Region

Tick: Change Keyboards or other input methods

Tick: Location Tab

      ¬Change to United Kingdom

Tick: Keyboard and Languages

       ¬Tick Change keyboards

Tab: General> Change to English (United Kingdom) United Kingdom

         ¬ This option will show in the box, select ‘keyboard’ >Tick>Add

Tab: Language Bar > Tick the following:

¬Docked in the task bar

            ¬Show additional Language bar icons in task bar

            ¬ Show text labels in the task bar

Tick: Apply>Ok

Tab: Advanced Key Settings >Hot Keys>Highlight English (United Kingdom) United Kingdom >Tick Apply>Ok

Right, now when you are typing and you want to see the £ key, hold down >Shift < then the 3 key > you will get £!

Mind you, if you change from typing in an Email, Document etc., anytime you open up a new opportunity to type with the English (United Kingdom) United Kindowm keyboard, look at your Task Bar, to the left of your clock, you will see in Capital letters EN, Tick this and select > English (United Kingdom) type and you'll get the £ key!

See if this works! I pray I did not miss a step!
