I have a computer with Windows 8.  I'd like to sell this computer, so I want to wipe out everything I have put in it.  If I use System Recovery I will accomplish this.  The problem is that as soon as the System Recovery has completed the computer immediately asks me to put in my name, Microsoft account information, etc.

What I'm trying to accomplish is to get the computer to the point that it was after I bought it, but before I actually turned it on.  (So that when it is turned back on it will ask for a name, Microsoft account, etc.)

How can I accomplish this?

Hi,

I have a computer with Windows 8.  I'd like to sell this computer, so I want to wipe out everything I have put in it.  If I use System Recovery I will accomplish this.  The problem is that as soon as the System Recovery has completed the computer immediately asks me to put in my name, Microsoft account information, etc.

Normally it would do that after a reboot, so if you catch that and force the machine to Power off it should work like you want.
