trying to install avast one of shields remains inactive reporting that Lavasoft Ad-Watch Live AntiVirus is running. It doesn't seem to have any lavasoft related file/directory and nothing appears for uninstallation.

deleted FRST log. FRST logs are not allowed outside Malware Removal Logs. Does not appear to be malware related. If it is determined later to be malware you will be directed to the proper forum

The correct way to remove Lavasoft Ad-Aware is by following these these instructions.

If that method fails to remove everything, then you should ask for assistance at the Lavasoft Ad-Aware Support Forums. None of our staff and most members here a Bleeping Computer do no use this product.
