Did you update itunes?

Open Search

Search for Apple Software Update

Let it check for updates and install those updates.

Open iTunes

Go into Edit menu

Click on Preferences

Go to Playback

Change change Windows Audio Session to Direct

See if that makes any difference

Is your computer running a 32-bit or 64-bit Windows?  You'll need to find that out, and then try to download the corresponding iTunes from Apple site.  That should fix it.

If not, you can go to an earlier version of iTunes available for free from CNET, or SOFTONIC, such as version 10.x.  It's not uncommon for Apple to lag on updating their iTunes app to work on latest version of Windows--remember, iTunes is designed to run on MAC-OS, not Windows.

Good luck,

Well, iTunes is available as 64-bit too and it seems to be working on my computer, so it could be something else
