Nvidia NVS 510 graphics card was replaced by someone else, because it was thought to be bad. Seated new card, still having the same trouble.

Only two monitors come up at a time, but the 3rd monitor will come on if it's one of the two plugged in.

Tried:

-Downloading latest driver

-Using different slot on card

-Changing settings in Nvidia control panel

Can't, because 3rd monitor is not detected

Are you saying that you expect a component which is not connected/installed...to be reflected by Windows?

Negative, I'm not sure where the misunderstanding was, so i'll explain more in depth.

3 monitor setup, DVI > Dell DisplayPort Adapter > Mini DisplayPort adapter > Grahpics Card

First card:

Card has 4 mini DisplayPort ports

Ports 1,2, and 3 originally worked with monitors

Monitor on port 3 stopped working, switched monitor over to port 4 to fix, so ordered warranty because defective card

Replacement card:

After install, Unable to detect more than 2 monitors at once

When 3 are plugged up, whichever one you unplug, allows for the other 2 to work

      Installed latest drivers

I wasn't sure if it was an issue with the adapters or the card. We determined it's definitely a defective 2nd card, then realized they sent us a refurbished card as a replacement...laaaame. So put the first back in for now, to have all 3 monitors, and we're replacing the replacement.
