I'm new here so first let me please say hello everybody! I have been tasked with organizing some 100+ CD's of photographs onto an external hard drive. I know that there are plenty of easy to use databases out there to use on a PC or Laptop, but are there any that are for use on an External Hard Drive? I need to be able to organize by date, location, and subjects. Furthermore, if possible, I would prefer a database that would work well with music or MP4's as well as photos. Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have!

I use Where Is It. It can scan DVD's, iso's, or external disks. It can also scan partitions on the internal drives. It includes plugins for viewing images in the Catalog and has advanced search capabilities. It's paid software but worth the price IMHO.

And Welcome to BC.

Thank you very much JohnC_21. I'll go and check it out right now! I don't mind paid software as long as it gets the job done!
