i went to a website by accident. misspelled url and my avast said I downloaded a virus but it caught it.  the next time i went on my pc it was running slow. I tried to run avast but it would not start. i looked at services and the avast service was stopped. when I tried to start it i got a message saying i did not have permission. I am running windows 7 on a 64bit AMD machine. I have 4 gb Ram. I tried using TDSS Killer which found some things but it did not resolve the problem. I tried malwarebytes which also found some malware but the problem till remains. I have tried using Kapersky Rescue disk 10. I created a bootable USB. when downloading updates kapersky generated errors. also I cannot open any web browser and the wallpaper to my desktop is gone. lastly I ran combofix which found some things as well and deleted them. Unfortunately I did not know beforehand about this forum's suggestion on waiting to use combofix until i had used it already. I need help this malware seems to be one step ahead of me. Thank you in advance for any help you can render.

p22002970.gif Please download Rkill (courtesy of BleepingComputer.com) to your desktop.
There are 2 different versions. If one of them won't run then download and try to run the other one.
You only need to get one of these to run, not all of them. You may get warnings from your antivirus about this tool, ignore them or shutdown your antivirus.

Hello BC advisor. I followed the instructions listed above. I used a usb drive to copy the programs over to my PC. I'm unable to open any web browser on my PC. if the browser opens  i get a memory error. Malwarebytes was run in safemode I was unable to update. took 5 hours to complete nothing was found and I could not get the log. I tried to run malwarebytes anti rootkit in normal mode but it would not open. I then ran Rkill and as suggested by Rkill after it was done I tried to start up avast but it still will not start up. thank you again for all of your help.

the FSS was run in safe mode

In your Event Viewer I can see plenty of these errors:

Error: (08/30/2015 07:57:17 PM) (Source: Disk) (User: )
Description: The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, has a bad block.

You may have hard drive issue.

Run hard drive diagnostics: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic28744.html/page__view__findpost__p__160520
Make sure, you select tool, which is appropriate for the brand of your hard drive.
Depending on the program, it'll create bootable floppy, or bootable CD.
If downloaded file is of .iso type, use ImgBurn: http://www.imgburn.com/ to burn .iso file to a CD (select "Write image file to disc" option), and make the CD bootable.
For Toshiba hard drives, see here: http://storage.toshiba.com/storage-services-support/warranty-support/software-utilities#diagnostic

Note : If you do not know how to set your computer to boot from CD follow the steps here
