I cam back to Windows 7 from a lousy experience in Windows 10.   My problem now is my USB ports don't work and my DVD also is missing!    Used Control Panel and check on these devices and checked the drivers and all are OK.    All these items now show a yellow flag.

Thanks for any help.

Rich

Have you tried the USB fixit utility?

Do you have any restore points to do a system restore? If not, uninstall the USB contollers in Device Manager and then reboot.

To remove and reinstall all USB controllers, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl in the Open box, and then click OK.
  2. Click the Hardware tab.
  3. Click the Device Manager button.
  4. Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.
  5. Right-click every device under the Universal Serial Bus controllers node, and then click Uninstall to remove them one at a time.
  6. Restart the computer, and then reinstall the USB controllers.
