Let me just show you the picture....

I can't even select anything on the menus. Even extending to another monitor doesn't help.

System Restore did nothing.

It also has a eco driver failure.

Did this just happen? Press Crtl+Alt+Del and select logout. Then login again. This is the procedure for Windows 7. It should be the same for 10 hopefully.

I've logged out several times. Rebooted probably a dozen. Booted in Safe Mode, Low Res Video. Same thing.

It was brought in today, client said it suddenly happened, no more details. He upgraded from 8 over a week ago.

When shutting down did you try a full shutdown and reboot? Edit: I am not sure if 10 uses a hybrid shutdown like 8 but if it does the command will do a full shutdown. It may help.

Run > shutdown /r

Ok, I'll give it a shot.

Also, I've determined that the resolution is at the correct setting, text size is too (100%).

I feel like it may have been connected to a large monitor or TV (1080p maybe?) .

But still not sure what happened.

1280x800 (recommended)

Next step down is 1024x768 which makes things even bigger.

I tried creating a custom DPI setting in the registry ( LogPixels = "96") and it had no effect.

EDIT: Sorry, next setting down is 1280x768, and progresses from there.

Windows + (-) caused a whole of issues. Enabled the Magnifier, also increased the size EVEN more, and also got a prompt about a display driver not working, couldn't read everything though.

I can see PC Only as an option, I've managed to get it to extend to other monitors by blindly selecting options on the display screen. The extend doesnt help though.

Do you have a monitor or TV that can be attached via HDMI? In Device Manager is there a yellow exclamation mark next to display adapter? Can you provide a Vendor and Device ID for the display adapter?
