When I was looking into another situation I discovered something I am confused about in the registry:

DefaultDomain-Username/PC

DefaultUserName-guest

guest? Well I would like it to be my MS account and ax the guest system account or change the username to the name on the account so it at least matches and then add a string with a default password and only have the one user. Can't do that in netplwiz  it will not let me delete the account.

What should I do without messing up my win10

Hi KJRose :)

Before we do anything, tell yourself that if these are present in the Registry by default, it's because there's a good reason. Now, can you list the keys where you saw these values? Key names and entries please.

HKEY_LOCAL_Machine\Software\ Microsoft\WindowsNT\Winlogon

The key

DefaultDomaineName- it is my windows 7 id

DefaultUserName-guest

What I am trying to fix is this pesky guest account that comes up before my login and then just have my admin account ( my MS account ) to be the default

Simply disable the Guest account. The procedure should be the same under Windows 10.
