Cortana not responding "Try Again in a Little While"

I can type into Cortana and it will visualy respond but when I speak into the program I get the response as stated "Try Again in a Little While".  I know it is recognizing my voice as I can see my speech going into the search box.  No matter what I ask I get the same reply.


If anyone has had this I would sure appreciate any ideas.

Alas, Cortana is busy. I noticed for the first day or so after installing Windows 10, she ran slowly, was unresponsive, and was generally unavailable.  After she had time to index all my mail, scan my pc for any contraband, and upload my porn to Bill she now responds in a timely fashion.


During the first few days of Windows 10 rollout, the problems were server side, but I believe she is answering all questions now.


Also, turn on Windows Search if you have it disabled.
