HP Pavilion g7 1227nr.  Had to replace hard drive.  Have done so and have downloaded repair disks supplied by HP. :(  I have updated drivers and HP updates. Computer will not except wireless connection driver from HP.  Computer shows running Rralink RT5390 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter.  Have downloaded appropriate drivers from HP but computer refuses to recognize digital signature.  Also seems issue with Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter which showed up after download of 192 updates from Microsoft.  I can conntect to wifi using external D link but internal does not even show in network.

After 192 updates received blue screen showing the following.  Same issue that caused replacement of HD in first place.

Problem signature:
  Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
  OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3

Please let me know where to go from here.

Hi siminu2,

You mention that you had been receiving this issue blue screen error prior to replacing the hard drive. Is there another thread on the forum that might give me some insight to the issues before you changed hard drives?

I did a quick google search of that BCCode and it correlates to an invalid memory read error. This could be either because you have a bad memory module. Have you tried running memtest86 yet? You can download memtest here and burn it to a DVD.

Yes I have previous posts about the blue screen.  I also believe I kept a picture of the event.

I'm a little confused...can you elaborate on these "repair disks" which you downloaeed?

I've not known HP to ever provide downloadable recovery or repair disks of any sort.

Please download MiniToolBox  , save it to your desktop and run it.

Checkmark the following checkboxes:
List last 10 Event Viewer log
  List Installed Programs
List Users, Partitions and Memory size.

Click Go and paste the content into your next post.

Also...please Publish a Snapshot using Speccy - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic323892.html/page__p__1797792#entry1797792 , taking care to post the link of the snapshot in your next post.

Thank you for your post.  HP sent 3 disks which they said were repair disks.  I believe they are the back up disks which I could not create from the computer.  It installed what came on the machine the first time.

I have run the memtest 86 and there were no errors.  Upon restart in windows keyboard temporarily would not type upper letters from q to p.  This lasted only a few minutes.

I think you are blaming the wrong suspect...your CPU's average temp is 89 Celsius, while the recommended maximum for that CPU is 90 Celsius.

My guess is that your system has been overheating.

Have managed to fix driver issue for  Rralink RT5390 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter by uninstalling it completely and reinstalling it.  I have also uninstalled the keyboard and now that seems to be working better.  I have cleaned the fan but is still running a bit warm.  Guess next step would be to replace that also.  Have not experienced Blue screen again. So maybe things will improve.

Thank you both for your suggestions.  They did help direct me to answers.

:)

Moving topic to Internal Hardware...the folks there can advise you regarding the overheating aspect of your situation.
