I am having an issue with my computer (Dell Vostro 420, Windows XP SP3) and Firefox (40.0.2). I find that my computer will lock up completeley and thus require a hard reset. This happens when using Forefox and most commonly when Facebook or Ebay are open. At one point this coincided with an error related to PerfNet. Ultimately, I reinstalled windows and yet here is the problem again. I am no longer seeing issues with PerfNet on the event viewer; in all honesty, there was no abnormal activity in the event viewer for the crash. I did have a few  Warning messages (pertaining to Event ID 4226 Tcpip, 1003 Dhcp) but none since early yesterday evening. This seemed to have begun after updating Firefox (pre-reinstallation) and am wondering if that is an issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am at my wits end.
