I have been a customer of Corel products for over 15 years, CorelDraw and PaintShopPro.  I was using PSP since before Corel acqired it,  I have PSP x7 and x8 was just relegased.  Every third time I open the program I get a pop-up nagware about an update.  Sometimes it hits me when I start up the program.  I am active on Flickr and now I'm getting occasional pop-up windows for a Corel download tool.

The program message preferences has two check boxes.  One indicates that if I want offers and updates, I'm supposed to check it;

I've tried blocking Corel through my firewall but they must have their nagware coming directly through the program itself.

I like the products but I can't believe these bozos really think this is an effective method of maintaining a satisfied customer base.

I've written to corporation and am waiting for a response.

Any suggestions on how to stop the nagware?
