ok these are the parts ive chosen:

Mobo: Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe nForce 570 SLI AMD Socket AM2 ATX Audio Dual Gigabit SATA 3Gb/s RAID Firewire (SLI Ready)

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Socket AM2 Processor Retail

Memory: 2x 1GB 400Mhz PC3200 DDR 184pin DIMM

Case/PS: Aspire X-Cruiser Silver ATX Case w/ Side Window & 420W PS

Hard Drive: Western Digital 250GB SATA II (8MB Buffer) 7200rpm Hard Drive

DVD-RW: Asus Black 16x DVDR and 8x R (DL) Double Layer Drive Retail

CD-RW: Sony Black 52x32x52 CD-RW w/ Software

Fan: Vantec Spectrum VGA Fan Card

Video Card: Nvidia e-Geforce 6500

i need to know are these parts compatable?(sorry i dont have any links but you can find all these things at CPU )

No, the RAM is not compatible. Socket AM2 uses DDR2. Easiest way to find compatible RAM is to use one of the RAM manufacturer's memory configurators. You can find them on their homepages, like: http://www.corsairmemory.com/index.html or http://www.kingston.com/.

cpu doesnt seem to have DDR2 pc3200 ram so will this system work with the DDR2 PC2-6400 or the DDR2 PC4200?

Most likely the PC2-6400. Depends on the timings.

ok i have one final question whats the difference between DDR2 PC and DDR2 PC2?
