I recently did an upgrade from Win 7 to Win 10 as i was having major issues and i figured what the heck.   I still had at least as many issues which included network and read only file system problems after upgrade. i then decided to do a clean re-install from Win 10 recovery. This machine now says the boot loader is inaccessible. I did not have anything i need to recover on this computer. I just wonder what happened.

I could probably do so using a disk, I will try and get back to you. I am only able to post here using a live rescue disk so give me a few minutes. I will be able to use another computer later for posting \.

FWIW:  The former "unbootable" category...only applied to malware situations.  Systems which are unbootable due to file corruption, user mistakes, and so on...did not fall into that category.  There is no "unbootables list" at this time.

The OP states that the system "had problems" before the attempted upgrade...and those problems should be investigated within this forum, since they appear to be the real problem, not the upgrade effort.

Any explanation of "what happened" must come from the OP...in this forum.

Louis
