Hi Bleeping computer,

I upgraded windows 10 using my free upgrade and I had Retail copy of Windows 7 Service Pack 1 and lets just say I am planning on going to update my CD drive first because it just dead, wont open and my GPU at a latter time.

Will the activation sever trigger minor alterations or just Big ones like Motherboards and CPUs. like previous windows installations

Your activation shouldn't be affected at all. Only major hardware changes like the motherboard and/or the hard drive would lead you to end up in such a situation I think.

Jaycon, thank you for the links. My cd drive works with windows 10. The mechanism that opens the drive doesn't always work Its like the gear is stuck.  open and closes fast and doesn't  open when I press the release tray button.

Why not control the CD drive using batch scripts? One to open it, one to close it? :P Or just push it back to close it.
