Ages ago I bought this thing from Microsoft but never added it to my computer - I probably had Windows XP (which I liked) back then and I doubt it would work now.

Anybody have any info - and if it won't work for me then question is will it work for anyone?  I don't want to throw it in the trash.    Is there an old hardware bin in the sky I can send it to?

Thanks for the info, I figured it would be way out of date - I'll have to give it a try - while I realize why passwords are necessary - I still hate them no matter how carefully I record mine they have a way of not matching.  It would be nice to have an alternative.   I don't like the new face match thing didn't have much luck with it.
