Hello:

Need some assistance with this HJT Log.  I used to know the codes and what to clean about 20 years ago but I certainly don't know a lot of the new stuff.  I am unable to open the Programs and Features section of the Control Panel in my WIN 8.1 Surface Pro 2.  That is a malware/virus infection that prevents that from opened to protect itself from removal.  There are a lot of suspicious things in Section 023 but as I said...it has been 20 years since I knew this stuff.  Any assistance is greatly appreciated.  This seems to be the only issue after following all of the malware removal instructions provided thus far.

Hi nasdaq:

Thank you for your prompt reply.  First, before we got through all of these steps and waste your time, the issue has been resolved by installing the WIN 10 update.

I can now access the Programs and Features and all of the new WIN 10 functions as well.  I believe my problem has been solved.

So unless you still want to see any of these logs, I will not proceed with these installs.

Thank you so much for all of your assistance with this issue!!!
