Hi,

In W10 and previously in W7 I would occasionally start my computer up and receive a "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG" error. This is easily fixed by going into IPv4 config and setting DNS to be obtained automatically. Now you would think that the problem would be solved but I have to do that process almost every time I start my computer and it is really annoying, especially when I have to explain to someone how to fix it over the phone.

Does anyone know why it switches back from obtaining DNS manually? I've tried setting it to Google's DNS Server but the error persists. Any advice would be appreciated, let me know what specs you need.

You mentioned it switches back from "Obtain Automatically", what does it switch to? Are there DNS server addresses in the boxes?

Hope this helps thumbup.gif
